10am SERVICE:  At the church, or Click https://zoom.us/j/5172232020

Preacher:   Geoff Ryall Acts 20:7-12 “A SERMON ON THE TABLE”

The “Lord’s Supper” reminds us that Jesus is alive, and that, being in Christ, we’re at home in him. It is an encouragement, a challenge and an invitation to share in the Lord’s Supper.

THIS WEEK:

Seekers Bible Studies have resumed meeting weekly on Tuesday at 10am at the Church led by Janet Washington, and on Thursday online at 7pm https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3129112911 led by Grace Munro.  Please join us, or check it out once and decide if you want to continue.

Men’s Bible Study has also resumed with Geoff Ryall, meeting on Thursday evening at 7.30pm, online. The link is https://zoom.us/j/5172232020   Again, feel free to join, or just check it out.

Other groups:  Leaders, please let us know when you plan on meeting, and how often you will meet.

NEXT WEEK:

Tuesday 16 February: The SALT group will meet for a meal at Xuping and Jun’s place.

Wednesday 17 February:  7pm, Deacons’ Meeting

Friday 19 February:  Conversational English and Shalom and Mustard Seed Bible Studies resume.  Specific times for these are yet to be decided.

CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH:  Janet Washington, who leads the team of people engaged in Conversational English, is asking for some additional people to help with tutoring at Conversational English Classes.  The students are divided into three groups:  Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.

People who speak English as a second language (and who may feel their English is not perfect) are welcome to participate as Tutors, especially in the Beginners and Intermediate levels. Because of their own learning experience, they can be a great help to others who are just starting. For the Beginners groups, if the students are Chinese, it is a help if one of the tutors knows Chinese! Those who have been helping in the past two years have been Janet, Bill, Jasmine, Jun, Steven, Marlies and Bela. For more information, see Janet.

COVID-19: A reminder that we all need to wear our masks again while at church.

SHARING FOOD TOGETHER:  We are commencing Morning Tea again this Sunday. We will serve it in the Sanctuary so that there is plenty of room to spread out.

COMMUNITY LUNCH: Our plan is to have our first Community Lunch and Table Talk on Sunday 21 February.  Details of the discussion to be held will be finalised at the Deacons’ meeting.
